My specialty is creating an ambience that is both conducive to guest’s enjoyment of the event itself, and their desire to communicate with each other, allowing for a natural ebb and flow of conversation. Over the last 16 years, I have created a unique repertoire of mostly flamenco music that consists of what I think are the best interpretations of a very, very wide variety of flamenco song forms. As a soloist, I cover a wide variety within the spectrum of flamenco song forms, ranging from the most intimate, non-rhythmic taranta, granaína or rondeña (songs historically sung with guitar accompaniment only), to a solemn, yet profound soleá, to the light, upbeat rumba made so popular in recent years, which will have your guests tapping their feet, to a breezy guajira or colombiana which are partially Caribbean in origin, all the way to the blistering intensity of a bulería, or a joyous alegría. I change the feel with every song to keep it interesting or to maintain a desired feel. I can combine with other musicians who play 2nd guitar, percussion, upright bass, and/or cello and whose presence adds to the experience.
