Your First Dance LA is a dance studio located in Sherman Oaks, CA. This studio specializes in ballroom dance instruction for couples preparing for their first dance as newlyweds. Owner and instructor Lindsay Benay has the experience and expertise to teach students of all levels as they make wedding memories on the dance floor.

Halfway between LA and San Diego, you can design the wedding day of your dreams. We can indulge your handcrafted celebration at our whimsical outdoor venues. Say “I do” under the stars, and dance the night away under ancient oak trees.

Follow a winding road through 300 acres of natural scenery. Nestled in mountain foothills and sheltered by tree canopies, your wedding will have a sense of privacy.

Bestow your banquet with an indulgent, memorable meal. Our on-site chefs can whip up your dream menu. Select from local and regional purveyors with farm-fresh offerings.

The 40-acre ranch boasts an expansive polo field with exquisite ocean views, working polo barns, horses in the corrals and avocado orchards on the rolling foothills, as well as a magnificent pool and garden settings.  Each of these outdoor areas create a stunning and picturesque location for your wedding day.  The ranch is located 10 miles south of Santa Barbara in the quaint town of Carpinteria near the Santa Barbara Polo Field. 

Klentner Ranch is a blank space location – this requires a full ‘build’ of everything needed for your event. We require the use of your own event or wedding planner to fully customize your event and maximize your use of the site. The event areas include the polo field, pool area and garden area, there is no indoor event space (all outdoors with the option to tent the lawn).   The home is not available for rent.

After moving back to Manhattan Beach from Napa Valley in 2005, I was on the hunt for the perfect location for my dream restaurant. The idea for Tin Roof Bistro came from my experiences living and working in St. Helena, Napa Valley. I loved the chef-inspired dishes prepared with local products and the exceptional wines made by friendly, passionate farmers. I knew I wasn’t the only person with this appreciation and felt that with my family’s history in the restaurant industry here, Los Angeles would be a great platform to open my first spot. After 18 months of location hunting, It wasn’t until I left my dentist’s office, replaced by our current neighbor Susie Cakes, I noticed a billboard advertising restaurant space. Having been office space for nearly 30 years, I had a lot of fun dreaming up a plan to convert it to a restaurant. Three years later, my vision finally became reality and we opened our doors on July 27th, 2009.

Creator and founder, Amanda Duckett, has been on the Central Coast for over 10 years, where she was the first person to be an apprentice. As one of only a few large boats available in San Diego, the venue makes a dramatic backdrop while cruising on the picturesque waters of Mission Bay.

It’s All in the Details

As you board onto the 100-foot-long boat and explore each level, you’ll notice beautiful details that extend to every corner of the ship. Along with the stunning stained glass ceiling on the second level, the boat’s ornate ambiance includes three handcrafted wooden masts, a twelve-ton paddlewheel at the stern, pressed tin ceilings, winding wooden staircases, hand-carved mahogany doors and walls, and etched glass windows.
